Yesterday I went grocery shopping in Tesco. I first didn’t realize the change when I was passing the shop attendant with the red hat. But while I was racing through the fruit section my ear picked up the music from the speakers. "I wish you a merry Christmas". For goodness sake it’s not even the end of November. I hate Christmas for what it turned into. We are going to hear Christmas songs for the next two months and have to pass pink Christmas trees made of plastic and smile to the shop assistants with the Santa Claus hats. It was strange enough to go through the shopping craze in Switzerland. But here we are in Thailand, a Buddhist country. People have no idea at all what Christmas is all about. Christmas is solely adopted for marketing and there is nothing of the origin or purpose of Christmas.
